Two Rooms is changing the DNA of the music industry.

Two Rooms started in February 2023 as an independent concert series. It has expanded to a community and resource for independent musicians in Los Angeles, defined by kindness, mutual respect, and equity.

After a decade in the music industry, Lauren Lee started Two Rooms on her 30th birthday, in an attempt to right every wrong she saw in her professional world.

As the only Asian American woman currently producing independent concerts in Los Angeles, Lee doesn’t look like your typical promoter. She doesn’t act like one either. Driven by honesty, transparency, and community, Lee has paid all her artists and staff. She has made dinner for staff and artists for every show. She is notorious for making attendees meet someone new during her shows.

In 2025, Two Rooms has expanded beyond monthly concerts. Between jam nights, girls nights, educational panels, an online artist resource hub, and a music industry professional development conference Summer 2025, Two Rooms gives artists every chance to learn what they don’t know, both from Two Rooms itself and from their peers.

Together, we are changing the nature of the music industry from ruthlessly exploitative to delightfully collaborative.
